    "7 Degrees of Faith" -- a solo exhibition by Genesis Tramaine

    Genesis Tramaine announces her sophomore Solo Exhibition in New York City, this time at the popular Bed-Vyne Wine Gallery, located in the Bedford Stuyvesant area of Brooklyn, NY. With this series, the artist focuses on using an urban and raw approach, to create pieces with daring and provocative uses of color. "7 Degrees of Faith" features 10 illuminating paintings including the popular "Apollo" an 18x24 inch portrait of a fallen prince and "sketch book" a vivid tour of the artist's creative process.

    I am a female painter whose masculine spirits are ever present. My passion translates, as I create abstract portraits of men and women who transcend blackness as political or representative. I consider the individual because that’s the way I like to be considered. Painting is one of the ways I stay connected to my complexion as a woman. My paintings invoke the voices of ancestors and give praise to the world around me. -Genesis
